Have you been waiting for something to happen for a long time and it hasn't?
Do you keep getting your hopes up only to get pushed back down again?
I understand what that's like.
I've gotten discouraged from not getting the part multiple times.
I haven't gotten enough views/circulation to expand my blog the way I wanted it to at one point.
I've gotten discouraged that my YouTube doesn't have "enough" subscribers/likes.
I have let myself and my thinking get in the way of so much.
You're probably wondering, how did you become not discouraged?
Well, I made the decision every single day to wake up and give control of EVERY aspect of my life to God.
First, I had to realize that in the long run, views and likes don't matter. I had to come to the point where it didn't matter to me if my pages didn't have as many likes as someone else's.
In all actuality, everything that I do is for the glory of God and if even one person sees it and it helps them, it'll all be worth it.
Discouragement is in the eye of the one who can't see the good in a situation. The key to seeing the good in any situation, even hardships, is solidifying your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Once your relationship with Jesus is the center of everything you do, the rest of life will give you more fulfillment and joy.
God never said this life would be easy, but once He is truly at the core of your life, that discouragement that we tend to feel will become much easier to deal with.
When life hits you with disappointment/discouragement, get back up and believe in the purpose and plan of the Creator.
