Christian movies have become increasingly popular in this generation, especially since the release of 2014's God's Not Dead. This movie was the start of a 3 movie franchise, the latest one titled A Light In Darkness. The first two movies were really well done, but in my opinion, this one surpasses them both. The topics discussed were very deep and went beyond even the spiritual level of the first movie. In almost any movie that you watch nowadays, there is one villain that the protagonist is fighting. In this film, there isn't one person in the wrong...there were multiple people who did wrong. The person who burnt the church but also how Pastor Dave reacted in a certain situation wasn't right. It shows that everyone sins and does bad things. One of the things that this movie portrays is something that everybody dreads facing. That thing is doubt. Doubt is in our innate nature to do and is okay, as long as you use it as a motivator for the truth and this is explored deeply in this film. Keaton (Samantha Boscarino) is one of the main characters and struggles with doubt the entire time, but she didn't let it stop her from believing...she went and figured out why she was having the doubts and figured out that God is the truth, she used the doubt as a motivator. This film is incredibly deep and very much worth your time. I give this movie 10 out of 10 stars and definitely recommend it.
