About a month ago, I posted about the song I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe. Today, I am going to talk a little bit about the new movie that was recently released about how the song was written. The movie follows Bart Millard (J. Micheal Finley) throughout his childhood, teenage years, and part of his adulthood up until the time that he writes the song that changed the world. Up until this point in time, Bart's story had never been told. He did not have an easy life as a little kid or a teenager. I don't want to spoil too much of the plot for you if you haven't seen it yet, but I will tell you that it is a movie that definitely tears at your heartstrings. Millard wrote the song for his dad after he passed away. It really is an incredible movie with great acting, amazing music (Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael w. Smith, and of course MercyMe), lots of tears, and a whole lot of other emotions. I recommend this movie with 10 out of 10 stars.
