"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, One Nation under God, Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Those words right there are the words to the pledge that we make every day that we get out of bed, pledging our allegiance to this great nation. A nation that is under the one true God. Those words right there are the opening lines to the new movie titled "Indivisible." The word itself in the dictionary is defined as something that is unable to be divided or separated and this movie uses the meaning for that word in several different ways. One of the most prominent themes in this movie showing that definition would be the theme of true marriage between a husband and a wife. That shows here, because when looking at the biblical definition of marriage the bible states the following "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." That is pretty much the dictionary definition of indivisible, verbatim. When something is one flesh, it can not be divided and this movie shows how a good marriage can stay together, even through the pain, as long as Jesus is the forefront of the relationship. Another way that this movie shows that definition would be in God's unfaltering love for us. He told us in His word that He will never leave us or forsake us and as long as we believe in Him and trust that He is our Savior, we will never be separated. A huge part of this movie shows a husband who leaves his family to go to war and returns a completely changed man, and not for the better. He has to work through his issues, get help, and consult God for help throughout so that he can get back on track. Towards the end of the movie, Darren Turner said this "I only stand before you today because Jesus is my Rock." What a powerful statement that holds true for all of us, without Jesus we wouldn't be here and without Jesus' ultimate sacrifice on the cross for our sins, we wouldn't even get the opportunity to go to Heaven. This movie is based on a true story and even though the Turners went through so much pain the first time that Darren was deployed, they still chose to go through it again because they felt a calling on their hearts from God. Now that's what I call faith. This movie is one of heartbreak, redemption, love, and ultimate faith in God. If you're looking for a movie to see that will deeply move you, I highly recommend this film. "No one is promised tomorrow so I'm choosing to put my faith in the One who holds tomorrow...as for me and my family, it's the only way to live." --Darren Turner
