The most amazing feeling in the world is when the Lord takes ahold of your life. I used to think because my life hadn't had any significant upheavals that my testimony wouldn't be viewed as powerful as those who have gone through many struggles.
That ideology couldn't be more wrong.
So why does my testimony matter then?
The perfect Creator of the universe created me; and because He created me, the story of how I came to know Him as my personal Savior matters.
Not only does it matter, it's important.
Every testimony is important.
Because each testimony given by a fellow brother or sister in Christ is the true story of how God transformed their life into one following Him so that we can spend eternity with Him.
My testimony matters. Your testimony matters.
Our stories, our lives leading up to and after the most important decision ever made?
Yeah, that definitely matters.
God loves each and every one of us.
When we commit our lives and eternity to Him, He rejoices.
I would love to see how you came to know the Lord! If you feel led, leave a comment with your testimony! I'll leave mine too. Love you all so much.
I was raised in a loving home with parents who cared so much for me and my sister, and most importantly, God. I grew up going to a small Baptist church in my hometown. For most of my life, I thought it was great. I was comfortable. Second semester of my sophomore year of high school, my parents decided, after lots of prayer, that moving churches was the best decision for us as a family. For a while, I didn't see the purpose or the plan. At that point, I thought it should've been my decision too. But, I realized after a while that I was living under my parents' roof and it was their job to make those kind of decisions. We church hopped for about a month until we landed at this one. We listened to the sermon, I went to high school sunday school, and we knew we had found where we were supposed to be for that season. God places some of the best friends in my life during that season. Friends that encouraged my walk with God and helped to keep me accountable. The youth pastor pushed me to daily study God's word and learn from it. God placed him in my life to push me out of my comfort zone. The rest of my high school years is when I really started to make my faith my own, instead of my parents' faith. I've still struggled, but because God moved me out of my comfort zone and pushed me in the right direction, my life has been so much better. There is always more to learn, and I love learning more and more about the Lord and reading His word daily.
